The University of the Philippines Cherubim and Seraphim (UPCS)

The U.P. Cherubim and Seraphim is the official children’s choir of the University of the Philippines.

Founded on September 21, 1971 by Flora Zarco Rivera of the College of Music, the group is a laboratory for experiments on children’s choral singing in the Philippines, championing the development of a unique repertoire for children, commissioning new works and drawing on the expertise of artists from various colleges of the University.

The current staff is composed of Elena Rivera Mirano, Director Emeritus; Associate Director, Alyssa Liyana S. Dioquino and Accompanists, Celinda Guevarra-Larracas, Michelle Nicolasora and Samuel Silvestre.
